What does an MLA paper look like?

Last Updated: Jan 15, 2019 Views: 197 0 0 Topics: MLA

To begin formatting a paper in MLA style, there are some general guidelines you can follow.

First, your document should have 1 inch margins all around.

Next, the font should be 12-point, Times New Roman.

The entire document should be double-spaced, with no extra spacing before or after (some word processors have a default 8-point space after each line; remove this by opening line spacing options and changing "spacing after" to 0).

The paper should have a header on the top right corner of each page that includes the writer’s last name and page number with a space in between.

For information about titling the paper, see: http://bowlinggreensu.libanswers.com/writing/faq/120232. For more information about works cited pages and in-text citations, check out various links on this website!
