How do I know if I’m using quality information?

To help evaluate information, you can try the CRAAP test, which uses evaluation criteria such as:

• Currency - how recently the information was gathered and written
• Relevance - how important the information is to your specific needs
• Authority - whether the author and source are credible
• Accuracy - whether the information presented is correct, unbiased, and reliable
• Purpose - the goal of the author in creating the source
