APA consists of five level of heading formats.

 

 The first level of heading is centered, boldface, uppercase and lowercase heading.  

Methods of Pollen Dispersion

         After a level one heading, enter and begin paragraph text flush left and indented. 

 

The second level of heading is flush left, boldface, uppercase and lowercase heading.

        After a level two heading, enter and begin paragraph text flush left and indented. 

 

The third level of heading is indented, boldface, lowercase paragraph heading ending with a period.  

          Assessments and measures. Begin the paragraph text immediately after the level three heading.

 

The fourth level of heading is indented, boldface, italicized, lowercase paragraph heading ending with a period.  

          Operational definition. Begin the paragraph text immediately after the level four heading.

 

The fifth level of heading is indented, italicized, lowercase paragraph heading ending with a period. 

          Personality and self-esteem. Begin the paragraph text immediately after the level five heading.
